Bonding Though Books: Annual Fundraiser

🗓️ Date: Friday, October 24, 2025

🕠 Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

📍 Location: The Study, 20 S 33rd st, Philadelphia, PA 19104

Are you an educator, artist, doctor, nurse – or someone who just cares about children’s access to beautiful, meaningful books that enrich their lives? Join us on Friday, October 24 from 6:00-8:00 at The Study (20 S. 33rd St, Philadelphia, PA) for an evening celebrating A Book a Day’s work to bring art and literacy to children across Philadelphia at our annual fundraiser.

Our Bonding Through Books fundraiser will bring together readers, authors, artists, medical providers and educators to celebrate the role of art and language in fostering healthy kids – and healthy communities. Guests will enjoy food and drinks, a silent auction, and the opportunity to meet our authors and artists who will be in attendance.

This year, we want to celebrate our collaboration with Drexel University’s Dornsife School of Public Health and the Intensive Care Nursery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Named after our Bonding Through Books program, this event will uplift art and literacy as essential to public health.

Our Bonding Through Books program brings multilingual books and visual, educational materials to local neonatal intensive care units to support families and healthcare providers. Together with our graduate student collaborators from the Dornsife School of Public Health, A Book a Day is building a family literacy program to support multilingual, multicultural communities as they face some of the most difficult health challenges of their lives.

With your help, we can bring these resources to more families across more medical centers. Please join us on October 24 to celebrate this work, and support more children and families!

A Book a Day is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
